A star in the making : ))
Last Sunday at Church, Laney's choir class sang a beautiful song during the service. This is the first time that Laney's sang with them since we haven't lived here long. They've been practicing every Wednesday night for about a month. I wasn't sure how she would do because when she came home I would ask her to practice the song and she'd just sing a couple verses then say she didn't want to sing anymore. Boy, did I get a surprise!!!! She did amazing. She knew every word and they even signed as they were singing the song. I was so proud of her...I even teared up a few times : ) She is growing up WAY TOO FAST!!She was so excited to go to Church this week and start learning their next song!!
Trick-or-Treating with my lovies :)
I can't believe we just celebrated Halloween. Before ya know it, Christmas will be here (which I can't wait for) Usually I pick out the kids costumes or make them but this year we let the kids pick what they wanted to be for Halloween. Laney chose a pirate. I was surprised because for the longest time she kept telling us she wanted to be Ariel. Grason finally decided to be a cowboy. One day he wanted to be Buzz, then Spiderman, then Superman but I'm really glad he went with a cowboy. It fit him perfectly. First we attended the carnival at our church and then trick or treated at some houses with our good friends. The kids got tons of candy. There were lots of games and goodies at the carnival. Laney, who thinks she is 5 going on 13 was ready to leave the carnival because she said all the games were for "babies" haha.

.....and here they are
My sassy pirate

and my sweet cowboy

and eating some snacks
Laney and Grason with Izzy (Grason calls her his girlfriend :) Izzy was such a cute sailor girl!!
After people would put candy in Grason's bucket, he'd take his hat off and say "Yee Haw"

Fall Family Project
Laney's class brought home a family project for October. They had to use a pumpkin and make it look like their favorite book character. Laney, of course, chose Goldilocks. We've read this book to her several times before but at the beginning of the school year the teacher read it to the class and the next day they acted it out. She got to be Goldilocks, so I think that's why it's her favorite book now :) We had so much fun decorating the pumpkins and I really enjoyed seeing all the pumpkins her classmates brought as well. Their are some very creative kiddos in that kindergarten class.
She was very proud!!
Goldilocks
and we had to add the three bears on each side of the pumpkin

Mama Bear
.......and Baby Bear :)
